~May I Be the Being I Know I Am~

Here above is a picture of the straw-bale house we are currently finishing at Sirius. Its a fantastic process of timber and staw-bales, sealed with mud, straw, sand, lime, and water. It can be molded and shaped many ways, as we include here the sun, moon, and stars.

Sirius is the brightest star in the sky. It has been attributed throughout many primative/indigenous cultures as a spiritual star and quite auspicious.

I can certainly say that my stay at this conscious community has been auspicious and spiritual. I am enjoying my time here, re-discovering a forest-fed sanity. Filtering grease for the Pioneer Valley's grease car contingent, attuning through meditation to the non-human beings living on this land, sharing garden-fresh meals in thanksgiving; these are common activities during my time at Sirius.

Do we humans have the necessary consciousness as a culture to put ourselves second?
