~To Be, not To Seek~
As we begin to awaken, we may be struck by a glaring incongruity of the 'normal' approach to life. Generally speaking, we spend every day moving through our life looking for, seeking out satisfaction, happiness, joy, peace, etc. We have assumed, usually unconsciously, that these qualities are to be found in the world around us. Waking from the trance, we come to see so clearly...we are not here to find contentment or peace or joy or happiness, but to be it, to radiate it. Our very being is satisfaction and peace and joy. Why would happiness seek what it already is? It makes no sense to eyes opened in wisdom.
-Michael Beckwith-''The world has nothing for you. You are a gift of divinity. You have incarnated here to share your gifts, talents, and capacities. The world can't make you happy, there is nothing in this world that can bring you joy. You are here to bring joy, to bring love, to bring happiness, to bring peace. This is your mandate.'

As I slowly wake up I humbly see how little I know!
Yes, I still search for happiness even though this is futile. When it arrives it is generally in small moments, a flower, a touching letter from a friend, helping someone or just stroking my cat but it comes from a place inside me, somewhere that is tenderly aware and present in the moment. So being in the presence of myself is very precious, pity I forget :-)
It would be an honour to have you link your site to mine :-)
I will be back to read yours!
